Legalism is the belief system of the world, the flesh and the devil.With all its do's and don'ts, touch and touch not's, eat and eat not, drink and drink not's.
Jesus referred to the Pharisees as "the world" their legalism,and religious obediance to the letter.

Walking in the Spirit of God is what overcomes the flesh, because our focus is on Christ and not what is happening in our circumstances.
Too many of us give Satan more credit than he deserves.No the devil did not make you do anything.
Although it is important to be aware of the devil. It is more important to focus of God.
One of God's greatest purposes for His servant Satan is the destruction of our flesh.
Whether we obey through love or by the letter of the law, obedience is only part of the equation in our sanctification. God's Grace and mercy is what makes it all possible.
Legalism gives the illusion that we are in control. We are not in control. Satan is not in control. God is in control.
We overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony and loving not our lives unto death .
