THE VICTORY IS IN A MAN/GOD

Jesus Christ

Bible in Basic English, Ephesians 1:17-23
17 That the God of our(my) Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you (Me) a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; 18 And that having the eyes of your (My) heart full of light, you (I) may have knowledge of what is the hope of his purpose, what is the wealth of the glory of his heritage in the saints, 19 And how unlimited is his power to us (Me)who have faith, as is seen in the working of the strength of his power, 20 By which he made Christ come back from the dead, and gave him a place at his right hand in heaven, 21 Far over all rule and authority and power and every name which is named, not only in the present order, but in that which is to come: 22 And he has put all things under his feet, and has made him to be head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the full measure of him in whom all things are made complete.

Bible in Basic English- Ephesians 2:1-
1 And to you (me) did he give life, when you (I) were/was dead through your(my) wrongdoing and sins, 2 In which you (I) were/was living in the past, after the ways of this present world, doing the pleasure of the lord of the power of the air, the spirit who is now working in those who go against the purpose of God; 3 Among whom we (I) all at one time were/was living in the pleasures of our(my) flesh, giving way to the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and the punishment of God was waiting for us (me) even as for the rest. 4 But God, being full of mercy, through the great love which he had for us (me), 5 Even when we (I) were/was dead through our(my) sins, gave us (me) life together with Christ (by grace you (I) have salvation), 6 So that we (I) came back from death with him, and are seated with him in the heavens, in Christ Jesus; 7 That in the time to come he might make clear the full wealth of his grace in his mercy to us (me) in Christ Jesus: 8 Because by grace you (I) have salvation through faith; and that not of yourselves (myself): it is given by God: 9 Not by works, so that no man may take glory to himself. 10 For by his act we(I) were/was given existence in Christ Jesus to do those good works which God before made ready for us(me) so that we(I) might do them."

When reading a scriptures like this it is best to make it as personal as you can so you get the message straight, it is not about them or they or us it is about YOU.We struggle it seems all the time with the idea that some how we must fight the battle, why is that ? When the battle has been won? We go looking for the enemy , why? When the enemy is already conquered ! The job is done, our duty is to rest in Christ . Our duty is to Stand  in faith when the so called enemy comes calling, he is nothing, he is nothing but hot air and no substance. Believe the scriptures and the victory is ours.
blessings in Christ
PATC

There is no higher place in the universe than to be seated with Christ in the heavenly places. Indeed, since Christ is larger than the universe, then to be seated with Christ is to be above and beyond all time and space and dimension as we know it. To be seated with Christ is to overcome as He has overcome. It is entering into His victory. It is not a fight to obtain victory, but a sitting down having already been made victorious. It is rest, but it is not “rest” in the sense that we do nothing. It means we have rested from our labors and now we work according to His power which works in us and through us.
God does not give us victory, God places us into Christ as our Victory. Since we are one with Him, it is nevermore a question of our ability, gifts, talents, or power. Everything we ARE is swallowed up and eclipsed and surpassed by everything HE IS. Today, in Christ, I overcome: but not because I am anything. On the contrary I am nothing. But since I am in Christ, Who is God’s Everything, His overcoming is my overcoming. If the Head overcomes, so does the Body which is joined to the Head. If the Vine overcomes, so do the branches which are joined to the Vine. Can you see this? Take the weakest member and put it in union with the Head and they will go the way the Head goes. Take the weakest branch and put it in union with the Vine and it will go the way the Vine goes.

When we begin looking to the Son as the Sum of All Things then we are giving Christ the preeminence. We are entering into the very heart, mind, thought, intent, purpose, and plan of God – that Christ Himself would fill all things, that His glory would be reflected in all things. If our way is a method, then the method gets the attention, and the man who created the method gets the credit, and the people who put the method into practice get the glory. But if my “method” is Christ, then Christ gets all the attention, Christ gets all the credit, and Christ gets all the glory. In this way Christ is magnified, the heart of God is satisfied, and we ourselves are attuned to His Will in Christ.

GOD IS LIGHT

"Believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light". John 12:36

Yahshua/Jesus the Messiah, the light who enlightens every person who comes into the world.
Yahshua/Jesus, the light of the world, who if  any person  believes and follows, will have the light of life,
and will be reconciled and restored to God, who is light,
to become children of that light.
It is truth that sets us free, not the knowledge of error,we are not called to dispel the darkness, we are called to turn on the light.
The greatest symbol, metaphor, image of who and what GOD and Christ is would have to be LIGHT. I compiled scriptures about the word 'light'  below, and I am amazed at how many times , who GOD and Yahshua the Messiah is identified as , is declared to be LIGHT  so many times. Our path, our life, our work ,our identity is called LIGHT. This is amazing to me.

Jesus is the Light that enlightens ALL people that come into the world. He is the life, the light of ALL people. The Light is in each one of us, whether we have been 'saved' or not. The Light is dim and shines in darkness; the Light is suppressed by the darkness of our hearts. Yet the Light is what quietly reasons with us throughout our lives. As we seek God, the Light is what exposes what is hidden in our hearts. The Light is what we either love or hate. If we are committed to truth, we love the Light and welcome the Light to show us how to improve ourselves to be acceptable in His sight. If we are committed to our selfish nature, we run and hide from the Light, or we try to extinguish the light, because we hate the Light. If you love the light, it is your Teacher. If you hate the light, it is your condemnation. As we respond to the what the Light tells us to deny and how to live a godly life, the Light increases within us; our selfish spirit decreases, and the Light increases.
It is theoretically possible for someone who has never heard of Christ, the gospel, or the cross to attain salvation by complete obedience to the Light within their conscience. The Lord has even told me he will reveal himself to people from other religions who seek the Light; but unfortunately, they typically reject him because of loyalty to their faith( traditions), or because of the poor record of people who call themselves Christians. Whoever lives in an area where the record of Christ is known, to seek salvation without acknowledgement of Christ would violate Christ's own statement: If any man(person) desires to do His will (God's pleasure), he will know (have the needed illumination to recognize, and can tell for himself) whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking from Myself and of My own accord and on My own authority. John7:17 Many of the early Quakers have written records on this site about their experience with the Light's reproving of sin and evil in them, early in their youth. In my youth I can remember at least one experience where the Light was reproving me; as convincing as it was, I was clueless at to its origin and ignored its advice, continuing on my course of error. Had I been taught in my youth to expect God to reprove me periodically, I would have probably recognized the source and would have been far more attentive. This leads me to question what kind of world we would live in if we were taught at an early age to expect the convincing reproofs of God. The world might be a much better place.
Just as God sent Jesus to the Jews, to either be accepted or rejected, so he has given to each of us the Light within, to either be accepted of rejected. Our conscience tells us we have been wrong when we lie or steal. The Light of our conscience, has been quietly reasoning with us all of our life, gently pleading for goodness. Our challenge is to become wholly directed in word and action by the Word and Light, Christ, within us. http://www.hallvworthington.com/

I. THE POWER OF LIGHT

A. Light is a powerful provider

Light is energy-pure energy. The greatest natural source of light is the sun. Jesus Christ is called "the Sun of righteousness" (Mal. 4:2), and just as the sun's light is the physical source of our energy, Jesus Christ is the true source of our spiritual energy.

Whatever we eat ultimately comes from the energy of the sun's light. Green plants, through photosynthesis, convert light energy into stored energy. When we eat the plant, we are consuming energy that was once light.

We cannot escape the power and energy of light, just as the power of Jesus Christ is the thing which keeps all things together (Col. 1:17; Rom. 11:36) and the power that gives us the ability to be what we spiritually can be (Eph. 3:16, 6:10; Phil. 4:19; Col. 1:11).

B. Light is powerful in its speed
Light travels at approximately 186,282 miles per second. Nothing in our experience can move faster. It is the universal, absolute standard of speed. Einstein, in fact, postulated that everything-even time itself - is relative to only one existing constant: the speed of light.

Jesus Christ is the absolute standard by which all other things are measured (Acts 17:31). He never changes His character (Heb. 13:8). It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for anything that comes from His mouth to be annulled, changed, or altered (Matt. 5:18, 24:35) - and even time itself is subject to Jesus Christ, He was alive before there was time (John 1:1), and He will be alive when the new heavens and new earth are made (Rev. 21:6).
When Jesus wants something done, nothing can slow Him down; nothing can hinder Him from the execution of His plan (Matt. 28:18).

II. THE "PROBLEM" OF LIGHT
It is very difficult to explain or fully understand exactly what light is. This is because light has a dual nature.
For 300 years, there have been fierce arguments in the scientific community whether light was a particle or a wave. Presently, scientific dogma says that is both - even though scientists readily admit that this is "impossible." They shrug their shoulders and call it a "wave" when it does what a wave is expected to do, and they call it a "particle" when it does what a particle is expected to do. According to all the present evidence, light is not part particle and part wave (or a particle moving in a wave like pattern, as many falsely imagine), but it is all wave and all particle, all at the same time.
Jesus Christ is all God and all man. He is proclaimed to be God (Isa. 9:6; Jn. 1:1; 1 Tim. 3:16; Tit. 1:3; Heb. 1:8), and yet we know that He is all man (I Tim. 2:4). He tried (Jn. 4:6), He wept (Jn. 11:35), He thirsted (Jn. 19:28), and He was "in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin" (Heb. 4:15).
III. THE PURPOSE OF LIGHT
Light is that which makes manifest. Obviously, if it were not for light, nothing could be seen. Light shows things for what they really are. Light never lies. If there is a scratch in the paint, light will show it. If there is an imperfection in a diamond, light will manifest it.

A. Light manifests sin for what it is
"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light" WHY? "because their deeds were evil" (Jn. 3:19). One reason that the world doesn't love Jesus Christ is because He, as the Light, shows people that their sin is hopeless, wicked, and unprofitable. The "angel of light," the devil (2 Cor. 11:14) tries to glorify sin, but this is a counterfeit light. The true Light tells the truth about sin.
B. Light manifests God for Who He is
Jesus bore witness of the Father (Jn. 1:18; 148,9; 17:26) and Himself (Jn 8:18). He manifested God and God's character to us.
C. Light, because it manifests, dissolves our unfounded fears.
There is nothing more terrifying than not knowing what is scaring you. Being in the dark is the worst. If you see something fearful, at least you know how to deal with it. But when you are in darkness, that is fear.
Jesus Christ scatters all of our illegitimate fears with His glorious light. He tells us that we do need to fear-we need to fear God (Luke 12:5), but if we have that mastered, we will fear very little else, and will live a joyful life (Rom. 14:17; Gal. 5:22; Phil. 1:4,25; 1 Pet. 5:7- 1 Jn. 4:18).

D. Light makes it possible to work
In the context of Jesus' proclamation that He is the light of the world (Jn. 9:5) comes the statement, "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is yet day: the night cometh, when no man can work" (vs. 4).
Without Light, it is virtually impossible to do any kind of profitable work. Without Christ, service to God is meaningless, and in vain (2 Cor. 13:5). Works without Jesus Christ is as much vanity and worthlessness as trying to paint a picture in absolute darkness. With the light, however, all labor is worthwhile. You can see what you are doing. You can work what God has asked you to work without frustration, knowing "that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Cor. 15:58).

" 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,' the Lord replied.' Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'

SECURITY IN CHRIST

I am  neither eternal or divine, BUT I am eternally united with Christ's divinity! The world religions teaches that you are god, but there is only One God!They teach that you are immortal, there is only one who is immortal, Christ our Lord.

I was formerly DARKNESS, BUT, now I am LIGHT in the Lord: I must now walk as a child of LIGHT. Ephesians 5:8,my paraphrase. The world walks in darkness, and gropes around in the dark trying to find its way around, without being able to see. As the world grows darker, we must with all our hearts grab for the only Light in this World, and that is Jesus Christ, and the ones who follow and obey him.

If we  trust in what the world can provide, we have absolutely no security. You know that this is a true statement especially as we see the world today, financial investments are not secure , our jobs are not secure, our relationships are not even secure. Our health is not secure, our safety is not secure, any moment we can be in an accident and our whole life changes in an instant. Face the facts in this world we are not secure! But we can find that solid rock, the mighty fortress in which to take shelter and refuge, and that is in God in Christ Jesus. The only investments that have security is the Eternal Investment in Christ. This is not spreading fear to others, the fear is already there, I am not trying to scare you into believing, you are already afraid, we are ALREADY fearful of what is happening, I am not spreading what is already here among us, I am just stating the facts. In this worlds systems there is no security, and only a fearful awareness that this is so.I don't need to scare you in to believing in Jesus Christ, you either do or you don't. I am just stating the facts, if security is what you seek, you will not find it in financial institutions, in your job or even in your marriage, it just is not there, and never has been.

I truly believe that God is  shaking the very foundations of this world. Natural disasters are on the increase, kingdoms are being toppled, war springs up everywhere.New diseases and epidemics are springing up out of no where. Scriptures warns us that such conditions would precede the second Coming of  Christ. Matthew 24.  But as Christians this should not alarm us, we should fear not.  I don't believe God is the one doing this, but it is happening because God is lifting His hand away ,  as He lifts his hand, all hell breaks out. We are not aware of what protection all of us , saint and sinner alike have been under, but as God lifts his hand from this world, evil will come in like a flood to fill the vacancy left from God's with holding His presence, which was holding evil  back. Like in the story of Job, when God made a hedge around him on every side. Job 1:10 I believe that the same holds true today and that the Tribulation is God taking down the hedges of protection, and by doing that , all hell breaks out and thus it will be.

In this day and a time such as we live in , we are being shown that in this world nothing is secure! If you place your hope on anything of this world to save you from what is to come, then you have nothing but fear and insecurity to embrace.

But as Christians our Security rest in Jesus Christ, He said there is nothing that can separate us from Him,Romans 8:35-39.There is no man  that can snatch us out of his hand. John 10:27-29. We are sealed in Him by Gods Holy Spirit Ephesians 1:13,14. Now folks that is security!

May the Lord be your rock, and your fortress, and your deliverer, May God be your rock ,refuge, shield, and horn of salvation  your only stronghold!!! Psalms 18:2

GOD'S PATCHWORK QUILT IN CHRIST

The Christian life is the presence of Christ in the believer. It is not the denomination and name that is on the door of the particular church that a believer goes to. The Believers of Christ , as part of the many tribes and flavors and rich colors that is found within Churchdom, all belong to His One Kingdom, and as believers our primary focus is and should always be Christ . It is His Spirit that enables and empowers all Believers to spread the fragrance of His Love to others through each and every diverse life as Children of the Living God. What makes us all ONE is that we are all in the family of God by His Spirit which is within each of us, who believes.
Believers will be likeminded inasmuch as they will seek to reach similar goals, but they will not each seek those goals in the same way, and they may not always agree as to how a particular goal can best be reached. And that is OK. I believe the diversity in this world is here for a reason, and that is to teach us the lesson of love and tolerance and acceptance of each of us for our differences and to understand that through our diversity we are basically the same it is only our covering that is different.
It is not a problem that there are so many churches and denominations, they are indeed a good thing. What it indicates is that in Christ there is a one size , that does fits all, but each of us wears Christ differently. We are all different , it is like 2 people that wears the same color and style shirt but it looks and wears differently on them . We all come in different shapes and sizes. There is one Lord, but many tribes, and flavors with Christ being the distinctive base flavor for us all and each has a unique style, sound, and look. We all process things differently which is colored and flavored by our differences of environment, social, economic and education levels, personal hystory , health, genes, diet, culture, physical make up and the list can go on and on.Yes Christ is our head, our mind, but the body dynamic is different and therefore what the Mind of Christ does in one place will be different in another but the foundation and ethics and moral behavior will be the same. We may respond differently in any given situation but it will always and should always be through the bond of love and peacemaking that is Christ Spirit within each one.
It should also be remembered that the minds of different believers are not to be pressed into a single mold of thinking--this is not what is meant by being "likeminded" (Phil. 2:2). To be like minded is that Christ is our focus, our lives should be centered and ground in Him and all our responses in each of our different lives will be flavored and colored, and enhanced by the Peace and Love of Christ within each of our different lives.
It is indeed a good thing to have different forms of expression, different ways of worship , and thanksgiving, some loud, some quiet, some vocal, some silent, some dancing and clapping, some reverent and calm. Each of us are so different and that is a wonderful and beautiful blessing, some of us are introvert others extrovert, and the rest of us falls in between. Thankfully God has designed us this way because as nature shows us ,God indeed loves diversity, and colors, and different fragrances. Our God is not a boring God who wants everything done the same way and every person wears the same clothes, but God has shown us through the various races, various animals, and insects, and different birds and fishes in the seas that our God is a God of diversity! Out God loves different flavors, and as long as we live as peace makers, and flavor all our acts through Love, we can indeed overcome all that we will encounter as long as we do all through the Spirit of love in service of Christ . We all are a different color and fabric on a patch work quilt , all adding to the creation of a master piece, that requires each of us to be a part of the big design, without our particular patch of color of fabric, it would not be what it is. Christ covers us all with his blanket /quilt of love. May we all be knit and held together with the bonds of peace and love to give warmth to a cold hurting world.
warm blessings in Christ
